About

Content Calendar HQ is an independent resource for people who plan and publish content. We make free content calendar templates and write clear, practical guides on how to build a calendar and choose the tools that turn a plan into published posts. Our focus is simple: help you stay consistent without buying more software than you need.
Who runs Content Calendar HQ
Content Calendar HQ is written and edited by Jordan Ellis, the site's editor. The credibility here comes from how the work is done, not from borrowed authority: every template is one we would actually use, every tool comparison follows the standards below, and any claim that rests on data links to its source. When something is wrong or out of date, that is ours to fix — email us and we will.
What we cover
We publish two kinds of resource. The first is planning material — content calendar templates and step-by-step guides for organizing what you post, on which channel, and when. The second is tool guidance — plain-language explanations of how social media schedulers work and how to pick one for your situation, from free native tools to paid platforms.
How we evaluate scheduling tools
When we recommend or compare a tool, we base it on criteria that matter to real planning work: what problem the tool actually solves, who it fits (solo creator, small team, or agency), how its pricing scales, and where its limits are. We aim to describe trade-offs honestly rather than crown a single "best" tool for everyone, because the right choice depends on your channels, budget, and team. Where a claim depends on data, we cite the source so you can check it yourself.
Affiliate links and independence
We don't run affiliate links yet. If we add them, some links to third-party tools may earn us a commission when you sign up through them, at no extra cost to you — and we'll flag those links where they appear. Either way, a commission will never decide our recommendations: an affiliate payout does not move a tool up our list. For the full policy, see our Affiliate Disclosure.
